Working With Purpose provides external professional supervision for counsellors, allied health professionals and others working in demanding people-focused roles.
Supervision gives you a dedicated and confidential space to step back from the immediacy of the work and reflect on what is happening—for your clients, within your role and for you as the practitioner. It is a place to explore ethical questions, professional responsibilities, emotional responses, workplace pressures and the ways these may be shaping your practice.
My role is to support you to think more deeply about the work, rather than tell you what to do. Together, we can examine what is happening, notice what may sit beneath the surface, consider different perspectives and strengthen your confidence in your own professional judgement. This approach can complement internal supervision and other professional supports by giving you another space in which to think openly and reflectively.
It is a collaborative space where we can think carefully about what is happening, explore what may sit beneath the surface, and consider what will support you to continue practising with clarity, integrity and purpose. It is not about directing your work, but about strengthening your capacity to reflect, make sound professional decisions and remain connected to the worker you want to be.
Professional supervision can help you:
With nearly 20 years of experience across counselling, EAP, community programs, private practice and professional supervision, I understand both the meaning found in this work and the pressures that can accompany it. My role is not to have every answer. It is to offer a steady, thoughtful space where you can bring the full reality of your work and leave with greater clarity about what comes next. Sessions are available online or by phone, including after-hours appointments, so supervision can fit around the realities of your working life.
Supervision may be a professional requirement, but it can be much more than something you attend to meet your registration obligations. At its best, supervision is a place where you do not have to hold everything alone. Book a free 30-minute consultation to talk about what you need from supervision and whether Working With Purpose is the right fit for you.

"I really value that Tanya supports me rather than simply telling me what to do. She creates a safe, thoughtful space where I can reflect openly on my client work. I genuinely look forward to supervision."
"Tanya helped me think carefully about how I will hold safety within supervision and which frameworks can support me as I step into this important role. I left with greater clarity and confidence about the supervisor I want to become."
"Tanya helped me step back and see the situation much more clearly. I left supervision feeling more confident about how to respond and more grounded in my professional judgement."
We understand that people working in counselling and allied health are balancing demanding work, personal responsibilities and already-full schedules. That is why Working With Purpose offers flexible supervision appointments during and outside standard business hours, available online or by phone.
