For almost 20 years, I've had the privilege of working across both private and non-government sectors. This journey has equipped me with the skills to provide counselling support for individuals facing many of life’s challenges—whether it's navigating depression, managing anxiety, coping with life transitions, dealing with grief and loss, overcoming addictions, or tackling the complexities of relationships and career choices.
One of the best parts of my work is supervising Counsellors, Allied Health professionals and frontline workers from so many different organisations, practices, and backgrounds. i work in areas around Burnout Prevention, Imposture Syndrome and Self Doubt.
With my signature quirky sense of humour, I like to bring a bit of lightness to supervision sessions. So, buckle up—it’s time to sharpen your skills, create a positive work environment, and take your career to the next level with Tanya Fisher!

Tanya’s passion for supervision is showcased in her book, Supervise Me! A Counsellor’s Guide to Supervision. This guide, with the second edition set to release in December 2024, is designed to assist counsellors in establishing one of the most critical professional relationships—a supervisor who supports their learning and enhances their practice.
Effective external supervision services provide a valuable space for receiving support, developing skills, and critically exploring clinical and ethical dilemmas. It also presents an opportunity to consider new education pathways, discuss work environments, and plan for successful career transitions when necessary.
Professional supervision benefits anyone in a helping or healing profession, particularly those working as counsellors, life coaches, teachers, or in allied health. Regular supervision is not only a professional requirement for many, but it’s also a crucial factor in preventing burnout and maintaining your overall well-being.
As of October 2024, supervision services are offered at $121 (inc GST). An invoice is issued for each session, allowing you to upload it directly to your membership portal after payment.
